No, we will never sell your data. You sell it yourself! You can accept the terms of each specific research if you find those fair to sell your data and your participation. You can also donate to research you want to support. Think of us as Airbnb, Kickstarter or Facebook Marketplace. We are a marketplace where you can sell or donate your data yourself, maintaining full control.
No, we will get your data once you authorize us with a Letter of Authorization and tell us where your data is being held.
You may be required to provide specific data for specific research, but to make it less effort for you; we suggest doing required tests and then informing us which company or institution has this new data,
Researchers may ask you to fill out surveys via our system once every few months, but any data uploads we suggest to do by simply saying who holds your new data. Letter of Authorization allows us to extract it.
Crowdwise employs advanced security measures, including encryption and pseudonymisation, to protect your data. Only researchers you authorize can access your data in a secure environment. Read an article about pseudonymisation of your data here and an article on our Secure Data Environment (SDE).
Your data is pseudonymized (read more), and researchers will not have access to your personal identifiers unless explicitly agreed. Each research contract informs you if specific research needs your identity data. In case of certain benefits promised by researchers, they will need to be informed at the end of the research how and to whom to provide promised benefits. We will try to be a middleman and hide those when possible.
Yes, you can revoke your consent at any time. CrowdWise provides a user-friendly interface for managing your data-sharing preferences. However, withdrawing from research may result in the loss of accrued rights and benefits.
